Location
We are 16 miles North from the Oban-Craignure ferry terminal, 13 miles North from the Lochaline-Fishnish ferry and 5 miles south of Tobermory on the A848.
Directions.
Glasgow to Oban ferry terminal:
2.5 hours drive. There is also a train (3 hours) from Glasgow Queen St station to Oban. There is also a bus (3 hours) from Glasgow Buchanan bus station to Oban.
Edinburgh to Oban ferry terminal:
2 hours 45 mins drive. There are also trains and buses.
Craignure ferry terminal to Arle Lodge:
45 minute ferry crossing. Turn right as you drive off the ferry and head for Tobermory, keep going for 11 miles and you will come to the village of Salen, drive straight through and on for another 5 miles (do not turn off left at Aros bridge) we are on the right hand side of the road and well sign posted.
Craignure ferry terminal to Arle Lodge by bus:
As you walk off the ferry you will see a big white 'Bowmans' bus, get on the Tobermory bus and ask the driver to stop at Arle Lodge.
Fishnish ferry terminal to Arle Lodge:
15 minute ferry crossing. Drive off the ferry and along the single track road for 1 mile, when you get to the double track road turn right, head for Tobermory, keep going for 7 miles and you will come to the village of Salen, drive straight through and on for another 5 miles (do not turn off left at Aros bridge) we are on the right hand side of the road and well sign posted. There is also a bus from the Fishnish ferry terminal that goes via Arle Lodge -you must ask the driver to stop.
Tobermory ferry terminal to Arle Lodge:
35 minute ferry crossing. Drive off the ferry and head along the Tobermory main street, don't turn off left into the big Ledaig carpark go straight up the 'Ace Brae' hill which is a double track road and you will reach a roundabout, take the first left and drive 5 miles, we are on the left hand side of the road and well sign posted. There is also a bus from the big Ledaig carpark that goes via Arle Lodge -you must ask the driver to stop.
